Fishing for Bass and Sunfish in Clear Texas Creeks with Crawfish

I’m fishing in some clear water creeks and streams in central Texas around the Austin area for a variety on sunfish species and sharing some tips and techniques for bank fishing and wade fishing. I used a crawfish plastic worm on a small 1/8 oz wacky football jig head for most of the trip. These small creek fish love to eat crawfish and it was the perfect size bait for these fish. I caught Largemouth bass, Guadalupe bass, Green Ear Sunfish, Warmouth, Bluegill, and Texas Cichlids. Fishing in these creeks can be tough because of the ultra clear water, so I went down to 8lb test fluorocarbon fishing line and light action spinning rods and reels. I also had to keep a low profile while bank fishing and be stealthy when wade fishing because of the clear water. Creek fishing can be a fun adventure, and it’s the perfect way to fish on a hot early fall day in Texas. For the underwater shots, I rigged my gopro hero 4 with the underwater housing and used a pole to film the fish.
