The first Bassmaster Kayak open takes us to Lake Fork, Texas in early March for a Pre spawn/spawn freak show!! The big females have moved up on beds already and the fish were absolutely chewing!! There were 200 anglers and considerable bass boat pressure, so I was trying to find less pressured back waters and spent the majority of this tournament fishing for bed fish I marked in practice.

Kristine, you are getting better and better. Keep focused. Do something I think you need to be aware of more; after catching a fish. Run your fingers up and down the first 8-10 feet of your line. You have too many fish break off. Slight nicks in your line( from whatever) can kill you. You are an incredible caster and you often get into tight cover, and slight Knicks occur and you don’t realize it. Your a pro, and little items will make a difference. Tell Paw I said hello!

Used to fish this lake every weekend, all weekend! PB 12.5 lbs in Jan. (Purple 12" Manns Jelly worm)! Lake record here is/was 18.8lbs. This is a lake where 5lb'ers are boring.
