This lake is known for its scenic beauty as well as its unusually cold, clear, deep water–all things which concerned me about doing a tournament here as I am more of a hot, muddy, shallow-water fisherman. But I put those reservations aside and decided to compete on what turned out to be an unseasonably cold and windy day. It was a grind, but the work paid off in more ways than one…

I've retired down here to Florida 2 yrs ago, fishing 2 to 4 times a week, my biggest fish so far 7lb 11 oz . I can't seem to hit that 8lb mark.
