2022 ELITE at LAKE FORK DAY 1 – Look for the #Oceanpony on a spinning rod battle

Next Elite Stop – Lake Fork -and we are about a month later than when we were here last year. I’ve only been here a few times so I spent all 3 days of practice graphing offshore. Most of the events thus far this year have been shallow fishing so there’s a special fire in my soul knowing I’ll get to fish my favorite way this week. Apologies for the wind sometimes impacting my audio.

This video is a recap of how I caught fish, very surprising and not what I expected.
Let me know what you think of the spinning rod battle that gets my bag to 23lbs.
The lake fished very small unless you want to embrace the ‘snuggle struggle’ and the fish are highly pressured so I had to rely on a technique (that people have a lot of opinions about) to finesse fish to bite and to get them in the boat.

Thanks for watching! Drop us a comment to let us know what you think of the videos and be sure to subscribe to join Team #OceanPony. 👊🏼
