Bass Fishing Shallow Spring Search and Approach

Lake Conroe always seems to challenge me. Despite catching a big bass every once in a while, I constantly catch small bass for some reason. On this trip, the bass are just getting on beds and there are many small males in the shallows. This is a look of how it is on a tournament day weekend after a rise in water level with lots of shallow cover and grass. I caught my fish on a variety of shallow weightless and texas rig soft plastics in 2-5 feet of water.
