Kayak Fishing The West Fork Obey River in Tennessee!

I traveled down to Dale Hollow but noticed a nice-sized river flowing into the lake. The West Fork of the Obey River looked promising so I dropped my kayak for a long float. The Paddle n Fun podcast was holding their annual kayak derby down at East Port Marina so I was looking for areas to pre-fish and possible starting locations for the tournament. Enjoy the video and have a great day!

  1. It isn't the "obaaay" it is the "obie" and you can use hellgrammites to crush so many other species there including gar . These people just throwing into these rivers, putting on some nice gear, and acting like experts is funny. You can catch anything out there with a spinner all the way from Compton's Bottom to Dale Hollow. Embarrassing

  2. Another great video brother. River, eagles and the footage were amazing. Love seeing those fish come up in that clear water. I was telling my brother today as we fished a clear water pond and gin clear creeks most of the time. It levels playing field. Blessings

  3. When you set your rod down to paddle, I said, "Watch something hit that." Lol. The scenery was awesome, and fish were definitely dreams. You are too smooth with that 6th Sense lure. Keep cranking them in, Bruh! TLF

  4. Enjoyed the video with some really nice catches on that trace ,looks like it'll work just about anywhere ! Tennessee has so many beautiful waterways, nice to see you're able to enjoy them. Have fun down there in the tournament, good luck and thanks for sharing šŸŽ£šŸ™‚

  5. Another totally awesome video!
Chad Hoover said he doesn't use glide baits but he thinks the fish chase the glide bait out of their territory. When you twitch the bait runs back in their territory. Thats when the fish strikes at it!
Your 6th sense trace clinic got me convinced. I'll pick mine up soon. That last Alum Creek vid was sick.
See ya at Wendell Kayak Fishing Obsessed show tonight!
