Lake Fork – Fishing a big FOOTBALL jig (Early September)

Hey yall! Wanted to share a short video from a few hour trip on infamous Lake FORK down in Texas. It is BRUTAL hot, no wind, high sun, and that can only mean one thing… a jig bite in the timber. We hope to lock a big football jig in our hands, and tango with some Fork brutes! September is never easy fishing, but it usually produces a giant or two ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. I was at Lake Fork in July for 5 days, the fishing was really damn good. I might go back next year for the spawn, try for a new pb. It's nice being an airline pilot with a private plane. I get to fish across North America with my wife.

  2. My dad used an old spark plug to free lures…I made one from a catfish weight and a big snap swivel zip tied together. I agree… they are worth the weight and space… I take one with me all the time.

Speaking of time… it's about fall fishing time here in a few weeks anyway! Love to fish the flooded timber – congrats on y'alls great trip to LF!
