Fishing for largemouth bass in summer and early fall can be a tough bite sometimes. In this video you will learn that purple worms like these are a go to in many lakes when the bass are not biting other lures, and how to fish them multiple ways to catch bass. I’m joined by some of subscribers, Chis and Carter Duff, along with the Living the Dream Guide Service on Toledo Bend Reservoir on the Texas – Louisiana border. Our guide Matt, and many other anglers in the area will tell you that fishing with purple worms, is the way to go in the tough months on this lake. We started out fishing deep offshore points on the main lake, and then moved up into the creeks in the afternoon. The only thing we could get bite on out deep was a purple worm, rigged on a drop shot, shakey head, or Texas rig. After locating some schooling fish in the afternoon, we caught a lot of bass close the the surface with crankbaits. We ended up catching 50 largemouth bass in one day! It was an awesome fishing day with my subs and LTD Guide Service on one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country.

What grip do you like to use on your big sexy rods?
They get all up in ya leg hair, breed and nothing’s a predator of them because of the the reddish orange head scares them away lol. That’s what I’ve heard…. nice video, instructional but not. How do you pattern fish like that?? Out in the middle of the sea. It’s amazing how 3/8 ounce is detectable in that kinda water.

Recent hurricanes may have pushed the love bugs up. They usually are found in southern Louisiana and big storms push then around to new locations where people have no idea what they are

the love bugs wer genetically engineered by humans to try and clear r mosquito problem back a little while ago.. we cross breaded 2 different bug species and got the love bug…problem was they did jus the opposite of wat they wer made to do and caused big problems and they r so dam abundant now!! we have a bunch here in wpb FL u can thank the idiots who created these nuisance bugs!!! I hate them…

if I'm not mistaken those are black tent wing caddis flies. Trout munch on those, they are a more tan color over here.
