Hunting for Big Bass in Grass Jungle Lake ft. (1Rod1ReelFishing)

Mike and I are stopping at a bass fishing lake by the airport in central Texas to hunt for any fall big bass lurking in the shallows. We have been fishing all week, and have caught a lot of largemouth bass, but no lunkers. Since we only had a few hours until we had to go to the airport, we got out the big bass flipping sticks and went hunting in extremely heavy grass and reeds growing around the lake. To our surprise, the fish and other creatures where living around the bank were way back in a forest of heavy vegitation. Hunting for every little gap and crack we could get our lures in, we would pitch back into the forest with our texas rigged plastics and hope that when grabbed it, we could drag them out of the jungle. We had many failed attempts, and many missed bites too. Despite the cool weather coming in, the fishing was still not good and we were only trying to go for a big one. When it was about time to get Mike to the airport, I finally stuck a good bass and pulled it out of the forest and into the boat. It might has well been a 10lb trophy lunker at that point, because it had been a tough afternoon with little action. As always though, fishing with 1rod1reelfishing is good times because he’s such a positive guy and keeps the energy up!
