Will Flutter Spoon be effective on trolling as well?
If positive, what should be my trolling speed range?
Excellent tutorial, thanks
Chris I have noticed you setup has change slightly over the years with your swivel. If i remember correctly you’re running braid to your swivel then a 25lb fluro to your spoon. Did you make the change due to being more efficient on the water or do you believe it helps with the presentation looking more natural?
Awesome video.
What spoon do you recommend
Cool video Chris jacked that big one at the end dude cool
What lenght of the leader ?
Was wondering about that spoon seen you land some monsters on it good stuff.
Just got myself caught up in spoons. Never in my life would use them idky but i am a true believer after i broke off 2 of my flutter spoon on my last outing. They do produce when the bite is super slow. Just be patient and learn how to use it like how you said. Hook sets were awkward for me cause they hit on the fall rod tip high slack line and all. Had to reposition my self for better hooksets. Great informative videos im digging it.
if i have the swivel attach between my braid and fluoro carbon leader do i still need to attach a swiwel to my spoon?
Great video
Hey just getting into using big spoons for striper, really good video, can’t believe all the large mouth you were catching
Great info thx man
Up in Ontario we do something similar. If they aren't biting the blade bait or hair jig, or if the size isn't quite what we want. We toss out th Ol' Williams J70 Ice Jigging Spoon, same type effect but you gotta change out their stock rear treble (I go with a feathered treble cause its something more they can key on), and then you get the added benefit/hook up ratio of the side hooks just in case.
saludos
I love informing videos like these!
Love the video, Guntersville crushed me my friend. I've been doing this with smaller spoons on the Coosa river lakes for big nasty mean spots and I use a stinger hook for spots, the action isn't so important with those psycho fish and that stinger help keep them on when they are going insane
Spoon and deadly dicks for stripers all year long .I'm gonna try it for bass on upperbay
Last year was the first year I really used a spoon and had a blast throwing it
Or the spoon at the end
What spoon is that in the intro that is not a Nicolas. Anyone know?
I was considering the extra hardware but after hearing Chris talk about how it can hinder the action and presentation of the bait thats all I needed to hear. I'll take my chances, less hardware more bites!
Idk ive never tried it with braid but I use the segar 25lb flipping fluro because the stretch and you can see it because the multi color line I might try with braid but idk I feel like I might lose a few more
Love your videos man, just wish you’d post more on your own channel then waiting for BASS to post one of you.
Roberts can be tough fishing, have you seen the hook setups on the saltwater butterfly jigs, maybe worth a try
I want to try flutter spoons with stripers in Cali. Can you recommend a moderately price rod and reel.
Great Tips!
Just increase my spoons and weight sizes. I use the perfect pitch levante. Mark 48 has been hard to come across 🤙☮😎
Chris great informative video. What spoons do you like to throw? I have had success with the Ben Parker spoons but not sure if there are many other options?
New sub; thanks for the info., going out soon with spoons in my arsenal for the first time: Johnson silver minnows.
Can this technique can be used for smallies or no. I say that because up north where I am we don't have as big and deep of lakes.
After watching this video I will be throwing a flutter spoon this weekend. Thanks for the tips Chris!👊
Great video and tips! Appreciate it.
That’s Ray Roberts is it not? 👀
Chris thanks for the video. I got to see you catch them on the big spoon at Guntersville first hand as I was your day 3 marshal. I had a awesome time watching you catch big Tennessee river largemouth bass. Looking forward to being your marshal again in the near future. Go get them at the classic Hammer.
We call this “slacklining” on Ky and Barkley. A killer method with spoons, buck tails, jigs, even giant worms.
What’s the importance of the short flouro leader?
👍🇦🇹😀
Thank you Chris
9 outta 10… not happening.
