Change Lake Fork Reugulations NOW!!!!! So We Can Have Fun.

I showed everyone what Lake Fork is like during a regular tournament yesterday in my video. If you haven’t watch it check it out “Why I will never fish a tournament on Lake Fork Again.” This video shows the good side of Lake Fork and how much fun we could have had if they would change the regulations and go after the BIG FISH.

MY PROFILE:

I started fishing when I was just a young kid and instantly fell in love with Bass Fishing. Started fishing tournaments when I was in high school and have been fishing them ever since. For years I fished every tournament I could enter sometimes fishing as many as 45 tournaments a year. I qualified for the Elites when I was 30 but didn’t have the sponsors or money to compete so I turned it down. Got sponsor support later and fished the FLW Tour for 2 years and having been fishing the Toyotas since 2006. I’ve won 5 Angler of the Year Titles becoming the only fishermen to have more than 3 AOYs in the Toyota series. Won numerous events along the way that has helped shape my way into working for Strike King as head of product innovation. Along the way, I picked up a camera and started filming my endeavors.  I  have now fallen in love with making videos about fishing and delivering it to you. Follow along the journey…it should be an honest and fun ride!

Monster Staff

Lake Fork Monsters is a group of avid bass fishermen who chase big bass in the Lake Fork area of Texas. They’re known for pursuing largemouth bass, which can reach impressive sizes in this region. If you’re interested in monster bass, Lake Fork is definitely a hotspot!

  1. wouldn’t this slot be the reason the fishery has big fish what’s the problem

let the bucket brigade hammer the sub 16s and everyone else can enjoy a sporting effort in catching the bigs we wanna catch

  2. I totally agree. Change the slot for tournaments. A lot of good lakes across the country have tournaments 3 fish 5 fish, and the lakes are still doing great.

  3. Ive never seen a lake with a slot limit that it really does anything but have fish in that slot limit i fish a lake with a 20 inch limit guess what you catch more then anything 19 1/2 to 19 3/4 dale hollow has a slot on smallies guess what doesn't get weighted in smallmouth even the 2 day billy Westmoreland tournament that is smallmouth only tournament guess what gets weighted in a bunch of unders and maybe 1 over so show me where a slot limit is good a few years to get fish bigger i see it but years and years of slot limit management turns the size fish being in the slot limit

  4. Todd you paid your entry fees to fish that tournament and now you whine cause iwas embarrassing to you to follow the tournament rules, just dont fish Lake Fork, nobody cares

  5. Those hooksets! Great footage to drive the point home of why you choose the gear you choose…. slamming the hook home on 6+ pounders on a lake full of timber and stumps… fishing for bigs

  6. Totally disagree. Lake Fork would be decimated without the slot limit with as many people and tournaments that fish that place. That being said, you said it yourself, just go have fun, catch what you want, and don’t worry the tournaments there. 🤷‍♂️

  7. Why not just do length tournaments on fork? Take a pic and immediately release it. Makes way more sense than trying to fish for dinks. All the kayak tournaments use this and don’t seem to have a problem

  8. Just fish fork for fun and big bass tournaments only, dont fish the 5 fish tournaments there. The reason all those 3 to 8 pound fish are there is because of the slot. My pb was a 10lb 5 oz on fork and it was 23 7/8" long. Had to release her was in a tournament. I was sick and excited at same time lol. Love your content and keep catching them bigguns.

  9. Hold up! You do understand that those 3lbers would never turn into 6lbers and those 6lber would never turn into sharelunkers if there wasn't a slot limit. You're right those big ones are fun to catch but getting rid of the slot would be a big mistake. I know several guys who regularly fish tournaments on Fork and they don't have a problem with the slot. Learn to handle it or stay off of Fork!

  10. Todd, if you're actually being serious, you need your head examined! The reason you're catch good slot fish IS BECAUSE OF THE SLOT! Don't try and un-do all of the work that's been put in SINCE THE 1980'S! Instead, find somewhere where you can actually compete! 🤣

  11. Your footage of catching fish is amazing. You make it look easy even though I know sometimes it's not. You give up a lot of info that I'm not sure a lot of guys recognize. Keep it up man.
