Enjoy this beautiful footage of near peak fall color in the San Juan mountains of Colorado. This footage was taken on September 30, 2024 in the Lake Fork drainage outside of Lake City, Colorado. The aspens were absolutely popping on this day, and it sure was exciting to get to see it near peak. Peak color only lasts for about a week or so before all the leaves fall and the trees are left barren, so getting to experience the fullness of the color change is truly a special thing.
