Chasing the Monsters of Stonewall Jackson Lake EP 1 Best BASS Fishing lake in West Virginia

This was my first successful trip to Stonewall Jackson Lake! Stonewall Jackson Largemouth Bass are supposed to be the biggest bass in West Virginia. I had gone one time before to a different part and got skunked. We launched at the marina close to the Stonewall Jackson Lake Resort. We were hoping to get in on the best bass fishing in West Virginia! Ben caught the first one, I followed up with one that had been chewed on by a musky on my RUNCL Titan 1! Then I hooked into a good one, right off that stump! My zoom paddle tail texas rigged with some WOOtungsten sure did the trick, he smacked that lure! It was an awesome day, it was hot but it was awesome! It was great to see some of the real potential that Stonewall Jackson Lake has to offer. Stay tuned for more West Virginia largemouth bass fishing adventures! Please like and subscribe! Thanks for watching!

  1. Love Stonewall Jackson Lake. I try to go there every nice weekend I get. I live about 35 min away in Elkins, so itā€™s the best place near me. If the bass wonā€™t hit, Iā€™m completely content to fill the livewell with crappie at Hog Hollow bridge.

  2. Stonewall is a very tough lake. I have a love hate relationship with it. Most of the time it's hate though. There are some absolute hogs in there but catching them is tough and it gets worse the longer into summer you get. There is so much structure and baitfish they become hard to find and pattern. I've seen many huge bait balls left completely untouched.
