My friend Clayton and I went down to Lake Fork in Texas to fish for a few days and disaster struck. We got trapped in a bad wind storm and were 200 yards away from the boat ramp when giant waves flipped us into the water. We were in front of a restricted access area and the waves were just too much to handle. We both had life jackets on and are okay. We lost a combined 7 set ups and loads of tackle and gear but that can all be replaced. Thanks for watching and be safe out there!

Good Catches This Video! Never been in Kayak but would like it to be the next "big purchase" … hit the Mississippi River last weekend 27 in the boat with 7 different species! GOOD SHIT!
Wow. I’m about to get my first kayak. Makes me nervous.
I've rolled a handful of times. Most guys don't think it will ever happen to them. If you expect it, it's no big deal. Sucks that you lost some gear. I've broken rods in rapids, but never lost any gear. My first rule is, secure anything your not willing to lose. Glad you guys were ok. What was the water temp? Your respiratory rate suggests it was pretty cold.
DOH!! Did that my first time out in my kayak. I’ve got a pedal drive, got out far enough from the bank to drop my prop, leaned over to the left to strap my paddle down and a huge gust came up from the right and over I went!
Dang that is scary! Glad y'all are safe, sorry about the lost gear. Were you down there for the BASS Kayak tournament that was there?
