How I Caught My BIGGEST Bass Ever!

Howdy Fishing Freaks! Today’s story is answering the number one question that I get asked on YouTube. What is your Biggest Bass Ever? When I was a fishing guide on Lake Fork years ago I caught a giant largemouth bass while fishing a jig in the month of March. Fishing a jig is one of my favorite ways to fish for big bass, especially around stumps and trees in stained water lakes. I’ll explain how to find big bass this time of year and how I was fishing my jig when I caught the biggest bass of my life. Hopefully I get a new PB largemouth bass this year, and we have a new story to tell on video. Get you lines tight and your eyes up Fishing Freaks!

  1. My PB is 11 pounds 3 ozs. I caught it on a rapaa jerk bait in October 2021 in my 10 foot kayak. What a rush! That bass you caught was a good one too! I watch your channel all the time.

  2. I caught my biggest bass in March of 2019. I had just went thru a rough patch in my life and I had overcome some crazy obstacles. I bought a Shimano sienna and a ugly stick rod and some Berkley power 4'' power grubs, black. With some pink jig heads. I threw out along the banks of a awesome farm pond that has some hawgs in it. I felt the lightest bite and set the hook and fought her for about 5 minutes. Got her in and it was a 10lber!!! Beautiful Largemouth pig. I took a couple pics and let her go. My next cast I hooked up on another giant and when I got her to the bank, my eyes got huge because it wasn't a bass, it was a 20" white crappie and I couldn't believe what I had caught. Took some pics and let her go. That year I had one of the best years fishing I'd ever have in my life.

  3. My pb is 16.7lb large. On a custom black and blue 15in twister tail, smothered in delicious craw scent.
    San Diego CA. 2017.
    In March. "Lake Murray".
Used to be the lake of giants!
Until people blew it up on the internet.

  4. Caught a 10.03 this summer with a crank. It fought like a weak carp. Now i'm just going to bring corn to the lake and just fish for carp. Just as fun, but way more abundant.

  5. If the camera can show him lifting the bass out the water why couldn't it have shown him actually hooking and bringing it in ? I've learned that even though I get more cynical every day it's not enough to keep up.

  6. my personal best was the first fish i ever caught. it was 5lbs and i caught it on a snoopy pole when i was 5 years old in the mid 90s lol. i didn't even have bait on my hook. was just practice casting and bam big momma fish took off with my hook. ran my line out and i didn't know what to do being so young so i wrapped the line around my arm and drug the fish up to the bank. the polaroid my aunt took still cracks me up. that fish was almost as big as me at the time.

  7. If i catch a monster like that i be like soo happy and crying like a little boy, and leting it go it be like leting go of millon dollars out of nowhere ao aome one cacht that monster and hopefully not end up dead in a table, and not have the same experience like me or any one, man i wish i cacht a monster like that, my PB is 6.8 lbs and from then, i got like 15 years not going fishing for bass, šŸ˜”

  8. Did you waypoint where you caught her? Because the video looks like you shot it with intention of making it appear like you caught her, weighed her then released her although your story says what you said?

  9. I caught an 8 lb rainbow trout about 6 years ago and I did what you suggested. Measured girth, length and took a picture after a long walk to get it weighed. Probably was bigger. I had a specialist from Alaska who made an amazing replica of it. Not cheap but it was well worth it. It rests in my garage where my wife suggests it should be. I of course would prefer it be right above my TV in the living room.
