2016 KATS Elite Series Bass Kayak Fishing Tournament Lake Fork/God's Promise

Event #9 for the KATS (kayak anglers tournament series) took place on legendary Lake Fork. Lake Fork is full of big bass…no secret there.. 35 of the biggest bass caught in Texas come from Fork and the lake record is over 18lbs. Insane!! The top 35 anglers knew any cast could land a record fish, however, many of the competitors struggled to find even one fish that measured. A select few were able to scratch up a limit which went a long way that day earning them a nice paycheck.

I managed to land one nice keeper of 21″ and missed a few more that would have measured. Most of my fish caught that day were in the range of 10-12″ Not going to win any tournaments there…ha!

The last KATS event will be held on Town Lake (Lady Bird) in Austin Texas. It’s a lake I’ve only fished once so we’ll see if I can pull something out of my hat.

Texas Rig
Watermelon Red Gambler

  1. We got these because an inflatable stand up paddle board was too heavy and bulky for us to manage in our 60's. We have had them out twice now and love these!>allmy.tips/SevylorKayaks?259 < Easy to set up/pump up although a bit ackward when it comes to the height of the pump. We found that sitting in a chair makes it a lot easier. They move nice and easy across the water and the paddles seem fine for simple cruising. We would purchase these again and will recommend them to friends!

  2. Early in the morning here in California and GOD already gave me my daily bread, what a Blessing to see people like this Exist and Praise GOD like I do, at times I feel alone in GOD our Savior Jesus Christ, but I see that I have many brothers who go trough daily struggles and still praise The Lord cause it can always be worse. Thank you for the Words of GOD and your wisdom passing it on to others who are being Carried by The Lord, GOD BLESS all who seek HIM.

  3. So weird that I was anticipating this upload because I have the tournament of champions at lake fork coming up and you happen to put that in for those of us going through a rough time. I lost my 25 year old a sister 2 weeks ago and watched this when you uploaded it I had to make a comment. Thank you for uploading this. God is great
