I put a Humminbird Solix on my 10' jon boat. Lol
Would you tell us about what the upgrades cost, all in?
I feel your pain about having six thousand dollars worth of electronics on a four thousand dollar boat! I did the same thing! 😵💫
Could you give us a detailed description on how to use the Garmin and what to look for when on the water.
I've been toying with the idea of livescop on my john boat and I think you sold me on it
Got my kayak and a $40 fish finder definitely ain't LiveScope but it works and very fun. Can't wait to own a boat someday! Always love the videos!!
Turn it into a duck hunting boat
I have been thinking lately that I will not be a sponsor of youtube soon. Altho I love the personal contact to most of its creators. It has become a platform for bra8nwashing people into the communist way of social do or die law(dont say anything that may possibly hurt someones feelings weather has anything to do with that person or not) If you cant think or say how you want to express yourself. Then it doesnt belong in America.
94 SV?
LVS34 will only preform as good as the LVS32 on this unit, you needed the UHD.
If your running the lvs 32 on the Phoenix, just change out ducers to get the most from your purchase.
why drill in the boat why not just a small plastic piece on the boot and dont add any holes to your boat
@lakeforkguy I just realized you hit 1 mil subs!!! Congrats man!!! I wish I could come fish with you! Nice eyes!!
Pretty awesome ❤😂😂
How much did you invest in that set up you got. Everything
You got me liking this might be setup I want do
Should've got the glue on plate for the transducer instead of drilling holes
Take my money!
Excellent review.. Was referred to this review by Dangle Nation. I’m (was) wondering about using such a setup in my drift boat for back trolling in a river- distance back 70ft. max, going from side to side looking for bottom contour drops where larger fish take shelter and hide in the currents. Do you think this would be a good application for that? I was looking at the Summit link you provided – excellent- do you think they would sell the complete unit all wired up or do you know any shops that do sell it as a complete setup? Many Thanks for taking the plunge and making this great video review.
привет из России.благо есть перевод.начал смотреть от ранчо
I just got my first fly rod for Christmas. I was wondering if you could make a “how to” video just all around fly fishing video I’m so lost haha
Thank you !
I have Livescope and spotlock on my 14ft skiff. Infact I have a 93SV in the front and back of the boat and they are linked. They cost more than the boat but it works for me on the lakes I fish.
😮😮😮
LFG🎉
Badass rig for sure—LFG…that beanie is fire….did I miss out on that or is it going to be released!?!?
Just don’t be like Jon B with it. Constantly looking at Jon’s back as he stares at his feet looking for fish. 😂
I have a Seaark 1648 ModV and i built a deck and put a portable Livescope setup on it. Zero regrets
LFG man that’s great the Crispy has new eyes pal. Man I wish I could talk to you about some Crappie baits that I wish GOOGAN would sell.
Wish you would have broke down the price and more in depot install. I also hope you record you installing the mount in the boat. I love your channel and have been watching a long time. I knew this day was coming. The crispy collector is a tool used to fill the freezer and everyone should want the sharpest tool.
Had my flat bottom boat 5yrs. Paid only $3k 25hr Big Cat Mercury and have a $600 fish finder on it. A good fisherman knows you don’t need all what you have to be successful. I’ll catch 10lb cats all day long but also catch that perfect dinner all day long.
Look at a solar charger for the Garmin!
What about adding a small solar panel onto the top of the motor? That should at least allow you a few more hours of battery especially on bright days.
This is what I love about trout fishing in Colorado. Don’t need any of that non sense to catch a fish. Lol.
Consider Amped outdoors NMC 14.4 volt battery. They have higher voltage that garmin can handle. Improves the image even more for longer. They are very light. Works great on my 93 uhd with llvs 34
Dont judge the battery performance until the fourth charge cycle. Fully charge each time and fully discharge to recommended lowest battery voltage probably around 9 volts. Something most likely will go wrong the first two charge cycles to give inconsistent performance data. Over the next two charge cycles it will stabalize to almost as good as it will get. So on the fourth charge cycle take your run time analysis and 5
Then determine if to upgrade and keep it for backup or just get rid of it. But do not just toss it to the side from first couple charge cycles. Really' What differance is under 5lbs in a battery that size going to make? Again very very important to do initial charge cycles through the full range of discharge. Dont re-charge early and dont under charge and use as low amps as you got. Half amp charger ideally for lead until battery is fully maintenced over a few charges then 1 or 2 amp trickle charges are good enough. No sense talking about lithium chargers, shorter the heat cycle the better…. Right? It is important to not create memory spots in the battery cycle for the battery's max life performamce. Which you are going to need with a small battery, especially when cold, so whencyou do charge fully charge them all at once.
Personally i would just run two full size lithiums if money vs duration was the most important. And certainly if i had multiple boats and one sat for a couple months needing to charge the lead batteries every single time and shortening their life expectency the longer they sit under voltage. Plus have two small lithiums for portability(ice fishing)if that boat is its main home. So can save the life of the potable batteries.
A battery is going to charge and discharge maximum number ot times. Lets hypothetically say 1000 times. Weather it is fully discharged or not you are still only going to get 1000 charges out of it. Being down a couple volts and only charge for 6 hours instead of 17hours does not mean you can charge it 3 times like that and count as 1 of the 1000 charge cycles. It will count for 3 of the charge cycles. As much as you fish I dont think having 2 small $200 lithium batteries last only 2 years is the smart choice because you need them fully charged each and every time because they are small. Versus having a full size that you can drain totally and have one of the portables or both in the unit for backup the few times it runs out between charges while on the water for 12 hours a day.
All this is true weather you go with lead or lithium. Only weight, runtime and extreem cold amps/voltage will vary. I can understand having seperate battery for a trolling motor as a "must-have" but,
Does a live scope really use as much power as a trolling motor over a full day?
It is hard to compare battery maintenence between the two. Lithiums are hyped to be carefree charging but we know the charging is actually very sophisticated and highly regulated. Not leaving you much options without buying a manufacturing grade matcher/charger. And thats not an option unless your a tesla racing team with a japanese battery dream contact.
I have the same situation.
Awesome install Justin! I’ve got a portable unit almost the same I’m gonna throw on
My Jon crispy collector and hit up choke canyon down here. I’ve got an electronic remote operated jig I made for live scoping that vibrates and varies in intensity. It’s the size of a 1oz jig. Also charged by inductive charging and waterproof internals. Any idea on how I could get this in front of anyone like yourself.
You could rig a small solar panel on the boat to help charge the battery
